Tjong A Fie Memorial Institute is located in Jl. Jend. Ahmad Yani (Kesawan). Kesawan region is a region filled with historic buildings and Jalan Ahmad Yani is the oldest street in the city of Medan. While Tjong A Fie was a businessman, banker and successful captain who comes from China.

Tjong A Fie was respected in his lifetime, and often act as a mediator when there is bickering between the Chinese and other ethnic groups. Tjong A Fie home today, visitors can learn the history of the life of Tjong A Fie through photographs, paintings and furniture used by the family and learn the culture of the Malay-Chinese.

Around in this Tjong A Fie Mansion need more energy and time it takes quite a bit. Just imagine, to spend the entire trip in all the rooms in the Mansion, my family and I spent about 2 hours. Mansion has 4 living room. The front parlor of the most used by Tjong A Fie common to receive guests. The rest, a special guest room that is located inside the common room after room.
